MC Jobs:

So what is MC Jobs?

MC Jobs allow you to work for what you do in the world, such as digging, mining, farming and woodcutting, this plug ins pays you for playing. You can change between your jobs when ever you want, so if you want to be a farmer then a woodsman the choice is all yours.

World Guard Development Page: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/mcjobs

Currently everyone has all the commands everyone needs:

To ensure that everyone can use the plug in everyone has been given the standard permissions in bPermissions. Any problems with some of the commands not working, check that its the right command below, or if you spelt it correctly. If it still doesn't work, message me or comment below.

How to list the jobs available?
This allows you to see what jobs are ready to join, if you are already in a job which will show up red, and the base pay & role of the job if you select:

/jobs lost
/jobs [Job Name]

How to start, quit or change a job?
This allows you to quit your job you have and then join another one:

/jobs join [Job Name]
/jobs leave [Job Name]

How to get help?
Find your a little stuck?
/jobs help

So how does this affect the server & your money making schemes?
To ensure a stable economy I need to ensure that the money you gain off jobs and monster jobs equals, the tools and items your using to complete the job. For example, Chopping down wood, I need to ensure that you aren't being paid 10,000 for a diamond Axe, and it costs 500 to repair. Thus making you tons of money, heres how it all works:

Tool Durability:
  • Wooden Tools - 60 uses
  • Stone Tools - 132 uses
  • Iron Tools - 251 uses
  • Gold Tools - 33 uses
  • Diamond Tools - 1562 uses
  • Fishing Rod - 65 caught fish
  • Shears - 239 uses
  • Bows - 385 shots

So being as the plug in works directly with Blacksmith & MoneyDrop, I need to ensure that the money is paid out evenly between jobs.

Job Payout: Base Pay -
  • Digger - 0.1
  • Miner - 0.5
  • Builder - 0.3
  • Soldier - 1.0
  • Woodsman - 0.2
  • Tinkerer - 1.0
  • Farmer - 0.2
  • Toolmaker - 1.0
  • Weaponsmith - 5.0
  • Armorer - 5.0
  • Fisherman - 1.0
  • Baker - 0.4
These are the basic levels of pay per job, so if you were a digger you would gain 10 pence per dirt block you broke, this goes through levels of tiers, each multiplying the base pay by the tier level as such;

Tier level * base pay = Amount received per place/destroy/build

Job Payment: Digger >>       Job Payment: Miner >>        Job Payment: Builder >>
